Summary

On August 8, 2005, the Energy Policy Act of 2005 was signed changing the dates for Daylight Saving Time in the U.S. Beginning in 2007, DST will begin on the second Sunday in March and end the first Sunday in November.

With the release of this firmware patch, "DST_update_v2.hp" the HP Print Server Appliance will be compliant with the new DST rules for the following time zones and or regions.

• Mexico City t
• Mountain Time ( US & Canada)t
• Pacific Time ( US & Canada)t
• Newfoundland t
• Hawaiit
• Other regions and time zones are not affected.

Supported models and firmware

The DST firmware patch will be supported on the following firmware versions of the PSA firmware

• 2.4.336

The following PSA models are supported provided they are running the firmware versions listed above…

• PSA 4000 t
• PSA 4200 t
• PSA 4250

If you have an earlier version of firmware, please upgrade to the latest version prior to applying the patch.

Firmware patch installation

1. To install the firmware patch, download it from http://www.hp.com/go/psat
2. Connect to your PSA via a web browsert
3. Click on the Upgrade tab on the left side of the EWS main page

4. Enter the path to the downloaded file called DST_update_v2.hp or click Browse and go to the location where the firmware patch was copied.t
5. Click Install upgrade and allow the firmware to be installed on the PSA.

Testing

In the U.S., clocks change at 2:00 a.m. local time. In spring, clocks spring forward from 1:59 a.m. to 3:00 a.m.; in fall, clocks fall back from 1:59 a.m
