Before starting the upgrade:

  • The HP Officejet 7500 Wide Format Firmware flashing (upgrade) requires a wired network or a USB connection.
  • DO NOT upgrade the printer firmware in a wirelessly connected printer.
  • If the computer has a firewall installed or enabled, it may block the Firmware Download Utility from accessing the printer.
Install instructions:
  1. Switch on the HP Officejet 7500 Wide Format series printer and wait until the printer is READY. [The Power light should be on]
  2. Double click the OJ7500_E910_R1126A.dmg Verify the "HP Firmware Updater" icon is shown in the folder up.
  3. Double click the "HP Firmware Updater".
  4. Follow on-screen instructions till you reached the "Select Device" screen.
  5. A list of HP Officejet 7500 Wide Format printers will be shown.
