This update resolves a problem that causes loss of ReadIris (OCR) functionality when two different versions of hp photo and imaging software are installed on a system. This problem may occur because the destinations component of the 4600c series software was released with an incorrect version number. If another hp product which also uses hp photo and imaging software (such as certain all-in-one or photosmart printers) gets installed, the destination component may get replaced by an older version. This software will replace the destinations component with the correct version. Unless you have multiple versions of hp photo and imaging installed and have developed loss of OCR functionality, you do not need to install this update. |
