USB and PARALLEL (IEEE 1284) CONNECTION. Please note that the instructions below arefor users that will be using a USB or Parallel cable connection from the computer to theprinter.
Please note that with this driver version:
a. There is no installer shell.
b. There is no bi-directional communication so users will not see status messages.
c. Printer driver icon shortcuts are not installed on the desktop.
Please refer to the CD that came with your hp cp1160 printer for documentation,registration, and additional software.
If you have already attempted to install the driver, you must disconnect the interfacecable from the back of the computer. You must also run the Uninstaller from the printerdriver CD included with your printer before you attempt to install this downloaded file.You must also reboot your computer after uninstalling the old driver.

To Install:
1. Before you download the driver from the web, create a new directory on your hard drive,c:cp1160.
2. Download the driver to the newly created c:cp1160 folder.
3. Open the c:cp1160 folder and double-click the “exe” file you justdownloaded. This will extract the files and expand showing a directory named“extract”.
4. Click on Start->Settings->Printers. Double-click on Add Printer.
5. Add Printer Wizard Dialog screen appearsÂ…Click next
6. Choose Printer Port, and click next.
7. Click Have Disk, then BrowseÂ…
8. Go to the c:cp1160extract folder.
9. Select the HPF1160N.INF, click open and then click OK.
10. Select hp cp1160, and then click next.
11. Follow the instructions from the dialog screens. Choose Replace driver if a dialogasks you. When prompt-> Click finish
12. Windows will now install the driver files.


To Uninstall: This driver does not come with a Hewlett-Packard built-in uninstaller. Thereare two ways to uninstall the driver:
1. Go to the control panel, printers folder, highlight the printer and select file,delete.
