1. Download the file by clicking the Download or Obtain Software button and saving the file to a folder on your hard drive (make a note of the folder where the downloaded file is saved).

2. Uninstall the previous driver using the command, "sudo apt-get remove --purge fglrx fglrx_* fglrx-amdcccle* ".

3. Restart the system.

4. Open the terminal.

5. Change the directory to the location of the downloaded file.

6. Unzip the file.

7. Install the driver with the command, "sudo bash amd-driver-installer-14.502.1009.1003-x86.x86_64.run".

8. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.

9. Reboot the system, then open the terminal and change the directoy to the driver folder (same level as the generated deb package).

10. Install all deb packages in this folder using the command, "sudo dpkg -i *".
