1. Download the file to a folder on the hard drive of your computer or to the device (make a note of the folder where the downloaded file is saved).

2. Copy the file update.zip to the root folder of a micro SD card. Do not unzip the file.

3. Power off the device.

4. Insert the micro SD card with update.zip into the device.

5. Press and hold the Volume up and power key simultaneously. Release both keys once the HP logo appears on the screen.

6. The Android System Recovery Menu will be displayed on the screen.
