• All of the features included in the Digital Sender Module software require licenses that may be purchased from an authorized HP Reseller. The part numbers are as follows:

• The HP Digital Sender Module requires engine firmware DIMM rev 4.48 or higher for the Mopier 240 and LaserJet 8000 or rev 5.44 or higher for the Mopier 320 and LaserJet 8100.

Enhancements/Fixes in version 2.3:

• LDAPExport utility was not exporting entries beginning with 'æ', 'Æ', 'þ', or 'ß'.
• When the printer was busy with a long job, a Scan Ahead copy job would time out after 30 seconds, never printing the pages scanned ahead. Now the job Scanned Ahead waits to finish until the printer is available, or the user cancels the Scan Ahead job.
• Qmail SMTP server rejected 'bare LF' in email msg; now sending CR/LF terminator.
• Raw email aliases (e.g. 'john' with no Domain) entered from Scanner. Added ability to suppress the 'Name not Found in Database' message by using the '999#320*' Custom Options on Scanner. This feature can be used when the SMTP server resolves email addresses from an email alias.
• Added support for SMTP multi-line responses. Some SMTP servers are configured to return multi-line responses as a single packet, others as multiple packets. The multi-packet multi-line responses were fixed.
  Also the 'Test' button on the email tab now performs a 'Mail From:  ' to ensure that the Digital Sender Module service can talk to the SMTP server after Connect.
• Windows 2000 Active Directory support. If NT Authentication is configured in the Windows 2000 environment and Active Directory is configured with Exchange 2000, authentication would fail. It now works with the following notes:
