After updating to version 2.5 of DirectCD, you can read from CD-R and CD-RW discs that you created with previous versions of DirectCD, but you cannot write to them. Always start with a new CD-R or CD-RW disc. Attempts to write using DirectCD 2.5d to discs which were previously formatted and written to with DirectCD version 2.0a can result in problems. The HP CD-Writer Plus 7100 & 7200 series drives must be updated to firmware version 3.01 before installing the DirectCD 2.5d update.
