Free Download Deskjet Basic Feature software/driver drivers for hp

This driver is designed for use on computers that will be directly connected to the printer from the computer through a USB or Parallel Cable.

Caution: The printer's cable (USB or Parallel) must be unplugged before proceeding!

Please note: This driver has no "Program Group" functionality.

Installation instructions:

1. Create a new folder on the hard drive: c:dj930 before downloading the printer driver.
2. Download the driver to the newly created c:dj930 folder.
3. Open the c:dj930 folder and double-click the downloaded "exe" file.
4. Under c:dj9302kxpinf folder a 3 letter language folder will be displayed. For example, the English driver will display a folder named "enu". This folder was created by double-clicking on the downloaded "exe" file.
5. For Parallel cable users only, connect the parallel cable from the PC to the printer. To continue, go to step 8 below.
6. For USB users, Plug the USB cable into the printer and PC.
7. A Hardware Wizard screen appears, click "Cancel".
8. From Windows, click "Start", "Settings", "Printers".
9. Next, double-click "Add Printer".
10. When the Add Printer Wizard screen appears, click "Next".
11. Choose "Local Printer", uncheck "Automatically detect and install my Plug and Play printer", and click "Next".
12. For USB users select "USB" and click "Next". For Parallel cable users select "LPT1" and click "Next".
13. To continue, click the "Have Disk" button.
14. Next, click "Browse" and go to the folder "c:dj9302kxpinfenudriverswin2k_xp". An "hpf930k.inf" file will be displayed. Select the file name and click "Open".
15. Click "OK" to continue. "hp deskjet 930c series" will now be found in the Printers column. Now, click the "Next" button.
16. If another printer driver is installed on the PC, select "Yes" or "No" to use this printer as the default printer and click "Next".
17. Choose "Do not share this printer" and click "Next".
18. Select "Yes" or "No" to print a test page and click "Next".

• Status messaging and bi-directional communication is not available.
• Ink level indication on the PC is not available.
• HP Print Previewer is not available.

5. Power on your printer, and connect your printer to the computer with a USB cable.
   Note: You may see dialog boxes next to your task bar indicating "Found New Hardware" . This dialog is indicating that the "Basic" print driver included in the Windows XP operating system is being installed. Ignore these dialog boxes and continue.
6. Click "Start" , then "Printers and Faxes" Note: You may see the "hp deskjet 990c" in this window. This is the "Basic" print driver included in the Windows XP operating system. Continuing on with these instructions will install the "Enhanced" HP Print Driver.
7. Click "Add a Printer" under printer tasks.
8. Click "Next". Ignore the message about "Plug and Play".
9. Uncheck the box next to "Automatically detect and install my Plug and Play printer".
10. Click "Next".
11. Next to "Use the following port:" Select the USB Port in the dropdown menu. This is usually "USB001".
12. Click "Have Disk".
13. Click "Browse" and go to the folder, "c:dj9902kxpinfenudriverswin2k_xp". A file named hpf990k.INF will be displayed. Select the file name and Click "Open".
14. Click "OK" to continue.
15. Click "Next".
16. If you would like to use this printer as your default printer, verify "Yes" is selected and Click "Next".
