HP Digital Sender Firmware upgrade to Version 5.0

Includes new features and bug fixing. To apply this firmwareupgrade, use the Enterprise Center software.

NOTE: You must install Enterprise Centerversion 4.0 to successfully upgrade your Digital Sender. To obtain Enterprise Center 4.0download the HP Digital Sender 9100C Software Upgrade available from the Software –Administrator link.

NOTE: The Firmware of the Digital Sender9100C must be at version 1.3 or greater in order to upgrade to version 5.0 successfully.

To check the Firmware version on the Digital Sender, press theShift + Alt + paper duplex keys together to display the Self-test page. See theAdministrator's Guide for further information on displaying the self-test page.

If the Firmware of the Digital Sender is not currently at version1.3 or greater, upgrade to Firmware version 3.0 using the JetAdmin utility beforeproceeding to Firmware version 5.0

New Features:

Microsoft Sharepoint Portal Server support – Through the use of NSI’s AutoStore application, the Digital Sender 9100C supports customized control panel definitions which allow integration with Microsoft SharePoint Portal Server workflows. AutoStore version 2002 is required for this functionality.


Genidocs Secure E-mail support – The Digital Sender now supports integration with theOmTool Genidocs solution which requires the e-mail recipient to provide proof ofidentification. It also encrypts the message during transport over the internet.

E-mail header customization – The e-mail header information included withdocuments is now customizable through the Web Access tool.
