Description
This feature allows you to use a 3rd party external job accounting device to monitor the number of copies sent through the HP Digital Copy Module. This device does not monitor printed pages or digitally sent jobs over the network. This feature is only applicable for the HP LaserJet 8150 MFP bundle.
Important Information
Version 1.0 of the Foreign Interface Harness Portal supports Windows 95, 98, NT 4.0, NT 2000.
Below are easy-to-follow instructions for downloading.

- Download the fihportal.exet
- Run the fihportal.exe and it will automatically unzip into the lj8150fih directoryt
- Run the fih.exet
- For first time enabling of the FIH portal click "Enable"t
- Click "No" for "Have you entered a PIN before"t
- Enter a Personal Identification Number (PIN) between 0 and 65534t
- Click on "Direct" for parallel connections or "Network" for IP address connectionst
- Enter the proper information for the port and click "OK"t
- The message should read "The Foreign Interface Harness has been Enabled"t
- The 8150 MFP is now ready to have a 3rd party external job accounting device connected to the FIH port.
