This update fixes a problem that causes an error during a scan using the remote scanning feature. The error, and the update, only applies to the remote computer, not to the computer the scanner is attached to (the host computer). The problem appears when selecting "Save As" after performing a remote scan. The first two "Save As" operations are successful, but the third "Save As" will bring up an "Access Violation" error. This error happens most often when saving scans as PDF or RTF files. The error is also been noted when choosing to "send" a scan to Wordpad. Make sure that PrecisionScan Pro software is closed on the remote computer before installing this update. Choose the file you want to download to your system. With your mouse, click on the file. In the 'save as' dialogue, you will be prompted to select the folder (subdirectory) where you want the file downloaded. Once the file is downloaded, double-click on the file, the software will decompress and then install automatically. Follow the directions during installation of this update closely. |
