This is the HP Enhanced Keyboard driver for Jornada 690 US English option (for North America, Singapore, Hong Kong, Malaysia, UK, Australia, New Zealand). The driver will fix a minor bug that disables the Caps Lock after pressing the Fn key. To install: 1. Download the 690KBDRE.EXE to a temporary directory in your desktop PC. 2. Double click on 690KBDRE.EXE to obtain the driver patch KEYBDDR.DLL and README.TXT. Read README.TXT before installation. 3. Connect the Jornada to the desktop PC using Windows CE Services or ActiveSync. 4. Copy the driver KEYBDDR.DLL to "Windows" folder on the mobile device. 5. A "Confirm File Replace" window will prompt if you want to replace the existing file. Select "Yes". 6. Disconnect the device from the desktop PC. 7. Perform a soft reset on the Jornada by pressing the reset button. Note: You will need to re-install it again if a hard reset is performed on the device. |
